- SAPPHIRE aims to leverage the expertise and network of member organisations to institutionalise the use of health technology assessment (HTA) to advance sustainable universal health coverage (UHC) in their own and partner countries.
It was established in 2019 under the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI) and its members are the Thai National Health Foundation (NHF); the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), Thailand; the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore(NUS); Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit(MORU); Universitas Padjadjaran; University of Health Sciences of Lao PDR; and HIAS Health, Hitotsubashi University.
