HIAS Health researchers Dr. Ryota Nakamura (Professor, Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University), Dr. Thomas Rouyard (Assistant Professor(Specially Appointed), Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University), Dr. Rashedul Islam (Postdoctoral Researcher) participated in the 2022 Advisory Committee Meeting of Strengthening Active Partnerships for Policy and Health Intervention Research and Evaluation(SAPPHIRE) on July 18-20, 2022.
 

 
The Advisory Committee Meeting, which was held in Phuket, Thailand this year(with options to take part online as well), discussed ongoing and future projects and collaborations as well as an exciting announcement of expansion. HIAS health will continue to contribute to SAPPHIRE through its current projects in Senegal and Bhutan which are joint research projects with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency - JICA. Our involvement in this consortium is supported by the JSPS Core-to-Core Program.

It was established in 2019 under the International Decision Support Initiative (iDSI) and its members are the Thai National Health Foundation (NHF); the Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), Thailand; the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore(NUS); Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit(MORU); and HIAS Health, Hitotsubashi University.
