Dr. Ryota Nakamura (Associate Professor at the Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University) and Dr. Thomas Rouyard (Postdoctoral Researcher at the Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University) participated in the Prince Mahidol Award Conference and the UHC Forum, which were held in the City of Bangkok, Thailand, from January 31 to February 2, 2020.
 
Dr. Nakamura took part in an event related to a research project commissioned by the PMAC2019 titled “Noncommunicable Disease Prevention: Best Buys, Wasted Buys and Contestable Buys,” an event related to a special issue of the Bulletin of the World Health Organization, to which the HIAS Health, the Agency for Universal Health Coverage in Senegal, and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) jointly made contributions, and other events.
 
During the conference and the forum, meetings and other events were held with the Agency for Universal Health Coverage in Senegal, the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, the JICA, and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and discussions were held concerning the introduction of health technology assessment (HTA) in Senegal.
