Three researchers of HIAS Health, Prof. Masako Ii (Professor, Graduate School of Economics, Hitotsubashi University/Professor, School of International and Public Policy), Dr. Ryota Nakamura (Associate Professor, Hitotsubashi Institute for Advanced Study, Hitotsubashi University) and Prof. Michiko Moriyama (Professor, Graduate School of Biomedical & Health Sciences, Hiroshima University) participated in WONCA Asia Pacific regional conference 2019 which was held in Kyoto, Japan, from Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18, May, 2019.
Prof. Ii organized and co-chaired with Dr. Nakamura a plenary session titled “Cost-effectiveness: How to tackle NCDs in the era of tightening budget constraints: expert opinions.” Dr. Yot Teerawattananon (Ministry of Public Health, Health Intervention and Technology Assessment (HITAP), Thailand) and Prof. Jeonghoon Ahn (Department of Health Convergence, Ewha Womans University, Korea) as well as Prof. Ii and Dr. Nakamura gave presentations in the session with the following titles:

In this session, in addition to Dr. Matsumoto, Dr. Christine Arenson, Department of Family and Community Medicine, Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, USA, Dr. Elena Abelló-Riley, Department of Nursing, Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain/ABS El Morell, Institut Català de la Salut, Spain, and Dr. Su Fee Lim,, Speciality Nursing, Singapore General Hospital, Singapor, made presentations.
