【Profile】

Yukiko ITO is a professor at Department of Policy Studies, Tsuda University from 2018. She graduated from the University of Tokyo in 2001 and obtained an M.A and a Ph.D. (both in Economics) from Brown University in 2006. Prior to the current position, she served as a lecturer at Tokyo Keizai University, an associate professor at Tokyo Gakugei University and an associate professor at Tsuda University. She is an expert in health economics and international economics. Her research interests includes a wide range of topics such as location strategies of multinational enterprises and community health services with a focus on the location of service and productivity. She is a member of the Working Group for Assessing the Medical Care Expenditure Regulation on Specific Health Checkups and Specific Health Guidance organized by Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare from 2011 as well as a member of the Committee for Promoting the Integrated Economic and Fiscal Reforms organized by the Cabinet Office from 2015. She is also appointed as an adjunct lecturer at Tokyo Medical and Dental University and a research associate of Mie University.
