Period of employment | - From 1st January 2021 to 31st March 2022. - The contract shall not be extended. (The start date is negotiable. Hitotsubashi University may adjust the above maximum period of renewability based on a) the employee's abilities, work load at the time of contract completion, performance and work attitude and b) the continuation of the employee's center project and Hitotsubashi University management situation and budget at the time. In this case, the employment period shall be two years from the start date.) |

Qualifications (required skills, experiences etc.) | 1. A PhD in relevant area (applicants who expect to receive a PhD after their starting date will also be considered). 2. Ability and experience to conduct empirical research in health economics and/or public health. 3. Strong understanding(doctorate-level) of econometrics. 4. Ability and willingness to publish research articles in international peer-reviewed journals; and to deliver competitive proposals for external research grants. 5. Ability and willingness to work as part of a team. |
Work days and hours | - Workhours are deemed as 7 hours and 45 minutes per weekday / 38 hours and 45 minutes per week, in accordance with the Discretionary Work System for Professional Work. - Work days are 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. |
Holidays | - Saturdays and Sundays, national holidays, new year holidays (Dec. 29-Jan.3), and other holidays designated by the president of the University - Paid leave will be given after six months from employment date. - Other paid holidays; condolence leave, sick/injured child care leave, care leave - Non-paid leave; maternal leave etc. |
