HIAS Health invited Prof. Soonman Kwon, Prof. Soonman Kwon, Health Economics and Policy, School of Public Health, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea, as a guest speaker and held its 36th regular seminar on Friday, March 1, 2019.
 
Through the presentation titled “Health Financing for Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Low-Income Countries,” Prof. Kwon reviewed the current situation of Health Financing of OECD countries and low-and-middle income countries  in terms of minimization of out-of-pocket (OOP) payment at the point of service and maximization of the role of public pre-paid financing such as tax and SHI (Social Health insurance or mandatory health insurance) .
